He was just enjoying a cup of coffee, and he assumes she's a reporter or something; he doesn't have an appointment for an interview but he thinks that this might be an interesting way to schedule one in. He doesn't see her wings, but even if he did, he wouldn't think too much of it-- he's seen a lot of things in the last couple years of his life and he's honestly just trying not to be surprised by it.
"I'm. Steve," he tries, blinking because that's dumb, she probably already knows that. No one ever just plops themselves down in front of anyone else without wanting something, so either she knows who he is or those kids with the clipboards trying to raise awareness and get donations for women's education in South America are really stepping it up a notch.
Or maybe she's just a waitress from next door and he forgot his wallet or something. That could happen. He should give her the benefit of the doubt. "Did you need me for something?"
