saw a man, saw what he took, it was a stack of books and a rusty hook

Sometimes she forgets, honestly. It's never for long, maybe a second or two at most, but there are moments where she actually forgets it all - the destiny weighing heavily on her shoulders, the people whose lives rely on her. Currently she's stuck in one of those moments. Someone is talking, and she's sure that she's probably supposed to be paying attention, but well...she's not. She's daydreaming instead.
Other people might daydream about fantasy situations, of superpowers and exciting lives, but Anna dreams about a normal life. She dreams about being asked to prom, about getting to go, about whining about homework and missing the bus. It's weird that she finds such normal things so comforting, but there's always going to be a part of her that misses being an ordinary girl. For a few moments in the day, she has a chance to be that girl, and fret over make up and hair like it actually matters, like that's all that matters.
...And apparently she is dreaming a little too hard, because her elbow slips off of the table and Anna gets rudely shaken back into reality with a hard jolt and a rather unsubtle yelp. Sorry, was she supposed to be listening to whatever was just said?

He puts down the old tome he'd been reading from with a sigh and let his reading glasses slip down his nose. "Did you get any of that?"

Anna's quick to jump to the defensive as she sits up straight, giving him something akin to an indignant look as she slouches backwards onto the chair again and...and now she's yawning, an no, she really can't pretend she's been listening, can she.
With a drawn out sigh, Anna sits up. It's not that she isn't totally thrilled to listen to whatever it is Castiel has to tell her this time, it's just that this is the third night in a row that she's had to sleep between classes. It's hard keeping her eyes awake for Slayer lessons when she can barely do it for the regular ones.
"Okay, no. None. I'm sorry, I just can't brain this stuff today. It can wait until tomorrow, right?"
